About Us
How we started
In the late winter of 2017 two friends who had worked together in the field of mental health sat around a table in a small restaurant with central American décor. Their husbands by their side they hatched a plan to start a mental health agency. An agency that would focus on the needs of the those who walk through their doors. A place where people could feel comfortable and not be looked down upon for the struggles they maybe enduring.
We wanted a place where it's about the people we meet with, and not about how much revenue we could make. We may never become rich doing this, but perhaps we can enrich those that we meet.
In the spring of 2018 we moved into a small office space in Heritage plaza. By the end of that year we had over 30 clients and one full time counselor. In 2020, we had to move to a bigger office and two full time counselors, one part-time counselor, and several support staff.

Why we are different
Every employee at Mountain West Supportive Services has personal experience with family members who have experienced mental and/ or behavioral health issues. We are a judgement free zone where we walk beside you on your personal journey to recovery and resiliency through support, encouragement, and evidence based skills
